Russell Brand and new girlfriend, Mexican artist Oriela Medellin Amieiro, were spotted in West Hollywood, California recently. The couple looked blissful while walking back to Brand's black Range Rover - only to find out he had been given a hefty ticket for parking on a red line fire zone!
Brand, who is going through a high profile divorce from pop singer Katy Perry, did not look too happy about the violation.Coughing up the cash to pay for the ticket, along with the legal fees associated with the divorce, can be a burden. After all, Brand is forgoing the chance to sue Katy for half of her fortune. Clearly the 36-year-old comedian has wasted no time getting back to his playboy ways only a couple of months after filing for divorce from Katy.
While Russell was cavorting about town with his new girl on his arm, Katy was making the rounds at the Oscar after parties and glamming up her new blue coif at Elton John's Academy Awards auction/viewing party.
According to the Daily Mail, 25-year-old Oriela has made a name for herself by selling nude paintings (not self-portraits, as far as we know), which can fetch close to $7000.
On her website, she describes her work as 'exploring feelings of guilty, sensuality, sexuality and repression from a women's perspective,' which is really very appropriate in light of the whole situation.
