Lady Gaga with her Mom!‎

Lady Gaga caused quite a stir at Harvard University's Sanders Theatre on February 29th. The pop diva pulled up in style with her mother, media mogul Oprah Winfrey, and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius for the launch of her Born This Way organization.

Never one to keep a secret, Gaga took to her Twitterpage to hint about her Harvard visit a day prior to her appearance at the Ivy League school. "I'm so excited to launch the Born This Way Foundation with my mom tomorrow," she enthused. "I'll be there with an amazing repertoire of experts." According to The Boston Herald, the foundation shares its moniker with the singer's second studio album and sends an empowering message to students to create a more loving, kind, and peaceful environment at their school and in the world. Gaga suggested starting the movement with small acts of kindness such as complimenting a classmate's shirt or thanking another for lending a pen.

About 100 students, staff, and paparazzi mobbed Lady Gaga as she drove up at the Cambridge, Massachusetts college in a black double-breasted coat, black shear gloves, big cat-eye sunglasses, tall netted hat, and platform heels. Underneath the trendy coat, the fashion-forward star looked stylish and svelte in a simple black dress teamed with a blonde beehive up 'do and bright red lipstick. A few hours before her appearance, Gaga tweeted, "Getting ready for Harvard. Mother is asking me for fashion advice; little does she know I stole her look."

Whether she stole it from her mom or not, the look, a cross between Jackie Kennedy at the president's funeral and Amy Winehouse's Back to Black video, was sensational on Lady Gaga. The crowd certainly thought so as they begged for autographs and photos. To view a live feed of the keynote conference, go to BornThisWayFoundation.org.
